Superworms

Superworms (Zophobas) are a widely used feeder insect that reportedly contain less chitin making them easier to digest than other available feeder worms. They are a great source of protein for reptiles, small mammals, and birds. They are also used for fishing.

They are best stored in beddoing/feed mixture at room temperatures and given a fresh piece of vegetable (like potatoes or carrot) every couple days to get the moisture they need. If you notice the bedding has sand like grit at the bottom of the cup, sift the worms (metal mesh cat litter sifter work great), add more bedding material (don't freeze or refrigerate Superworms as it will kill them).
